with our travels complete for the summer (aside from one more little hop to finland) we are very happy to be home and to be remaining here for awhile. it’s a beautiful estonian summer, mysteriously devoid of mosquitoes, and perfect for barbecues. this somewhat dense edition, we think, makes for good summer listening.we return to our semi-regular aporee soundmaps segment this week, airing some recent listener selected favorites from the maps at http://aporee.org/maps. also a recent release from our longtime favorite toy.bizarre, another from our more recent favorite (and baltic neighbor) sala, and recent works from two london-based artists, martin clarke and jonas gustafsson.
as mentioned above, and mentioned in the show, i’ll be traveling to finland next week for a murmer gig in the village of kiila on the southwestern island of kemiö, organised by the great musician and great friend, antti tolvi. it takes place on july 24th, my set outdoors on the beach in the afternoon, more info here. if you can come along, do say hello!
