a baltic heavy edition this week, with john grzinich (estonia), sala (lithuania), a work by auvikogue constructed from recordings made in latvia, and a work by jez riley french featuring recordings made in estonia. phew. i actually mistakenly announced that auvikogue was latvian during the show, but that was a mistake – the source material for diena nakotne was recorded there in 2007. we also heard sounds from sunslide recorded in granada, spain, and a framework intro produced in chicago by chad clark.

meanwhile, framework is spending a month in norway, in the setesdal valley in the southern mountains. you can hear the nearby waterfall during this show’s commentary. we’ll be returning to estonia at the end of the month, but in any case we’ll be taking our usual summer break for the month of august, returning to new programming in september. of course we’ll be organising shows from the archive to keep you entertained in the meantime. if you have any requests for part shows let us know, and we’ll be sure to line them up!

again, we are always looking for material for the show, whether raw field-recordings, field-recording based composition, or introduction submissions. we are also now accepting proposals for full editions of our  guest curated framework:afield series. send proposals or material, released or not, on any format, to the address at the bottom of this mail. if you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to get in touch!
