this edition has been produced in the uk by martin clarke.  for more info on martin’s work see http://www.rockscottage.net.  martin says:

This is a collection of field recordings made during July and August 2009 in Georgia and Armenia. I’ve been quite brutal with the editing, favouring the jump cut over the cross fade and there’s fairly minimal layering. There are recordings from Tbilisi, Art Villa Garikula, Arteli Ratcha, Yerevan, Echmiadzin, Utopiana, Dilijan, Sevan, Haghpat, some taxis and some bits of tape found in Mtskheta, Georgia’s spiritual centre.

A blog of the trip is here.

Made with support from the European Cultural Foundation.

and an announcement:  the world listening project will be curating a 4-part series for framework:afield over the coming year, and they have now posted an open call for contributions.  each show is being looked after by a different member and will have a different theme, and the first two (produced by dave armstrong and john kannenberg, respectively) are in production now.  here is the call.

also, the framework250 compilations will be featured as part of the upcoming parisonic festival in paris.  several of the tracks will be diffused, and there will be copies available for attendees.  i also have copies left, so if you haven’t already, please support framework and pick one up for yourself!
