The theme of this edition of framework is the five Chinese elements, or phases (also known as Wu Xing). They are: Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal and Water. They are of ancient and modern philosophical importance.
Presented here are sound works that are literally or thematically connected to the elements. They are grouped in two cycles, which rotate in the order of the elements as listed above.
